Master Class

Hello and welcome to my latest blog about  Master Classes offering an insight into what goes on behind the scene's when I'm working. I'll show you how I get celebrity clients ready for a photo shoot, red carpet event etc. I will demonstrate on a model a classic look, I have made many familiar faces and I tailor them to create an individuality for each client. You will get an insiders view on how this is done and how you can create new and interesting looks for yourself.

I'll be doing two demonstrations, the first will be a classic celebrity style look which will involve flawless skin and contouring of the face, defining your brows and applying eye shadow and lipstick correctly. The second look will be a fun party make up that you can do from  office to evening glamour!

There will be an opportunity at the end of the class to ask me any questions regarding the industry.

If you would like to book we have a promotion running if you book before the end of October, please contact issy@insanitygroup.com for bookings. I look forward to meeting you!

Here is a link to my Facebook Master Class page, if you like it that would be great, I will be putting updates on there regularly! http://www.facebook.com/LyndseyHarrisonMasterclass?fref=ts

Max Clifford's online channel Exclusive TV

Today is very exciting for me because my make up tutorials that I began 2 years ago in my bedroom on my Macbook have now taken the interest of Max Cliffords associate's http://maxclifford.com/. They have asked me to come in and re- create them in their studio for their online channel called Exclusive TVhttp://www.exclusivetv.co.uk/.
I've filmed 8 so far a combination of Holiday make up, Celeb looks including Cheryl Cole and Mila Kunis, Wedding make up etc. The first one is out today! It's quick make up under 10mins!  http://bit.ly/NtxoaR

I'm thrilled with the video and I can't wait to see the rest of the series! I really hope you all enjoy them too and please tweet me with any looks you would like to see. I will also be holding a Q&A soon so if you have any questions about make up that you would like answered please tweet!

Thank you all for watching and tweeting because if you didn't watch and enjoy them I wouldn't be filming them, it's all for you! Sharing the make up love:)

Crown Brushes and Palettes

I've recently been supplied with some new palettes and lots of new make up brushes by a great company called Crown Brush! I had to wait a couple of weeks to blog about them because i needed to use them all, the Palettes have only just arrived so i'm yet to have used them so i'll give you an update when i do but i love the make up brushes, they are great for people who are just building there kit and can't afford some of the more expensive brands. I think it's nice to have a mix of different brands in your kit, i particularly like the blending brushes. You really need a good foundation brush in your kit and blending brushes, some things like blusher brushes you can get away with the quality not being as good but if you have bad blending brushes you really can't make eye make up look good, you need approx 3 when you are working on eye's(well that's what i get through)whist doing a make up, other wise you get left with harsh lines where the shadow isn't blended out. Also i use blending brushes as concealer brushes under the eye, it's more comfortable for the client and it gives more of an airbrush effect and keeps the concealer application light, you don't want heavy concealer under the eye's it can sit in the creases otherwise. Have a look yourself http://www.crownbrush.co.uk/ Here is the blending brush i like http://www.crownbrush.co.uk/shop/brushes/blending-brush/c433-pro-blending-fluff.html

Danielle Lloyd's Wedding Make up

I had the honor of being asked to do my friend and client Danielle Lloyd's Make up on her Wedding Day to Jamie O'Hara. It was such a beautiful day, Dan was so lucky with the weather. I had previously done a trial and knowing Dan's skin well from previous hoots it was quite straight forward. She wanted to look natural with her skin but her eye's to be defined. She has great skin so that was easy. I've made a YouTube tutorial with all the products in that i used. I was invited to the day which was amazing, she turned up fashionably late to the church and then during the ceremony there was a couple of unplanned words from Archie(her son)haha. Then we had Champs&Canapes whilst we waited to be seated. I gave Dan a quick make up touch up and the OK Magazine look lot's of Pic's See below, by the fabulous photographer Abi! Whilst waiting there was a caricature going around and she drew me, i'll have to dig it out and add it to the blog.

Then we sat down to lunch and it was amazing! Salmon selection to start followed by Fillet steak and fat boy chips and desert was cheesecake...i think! The speeches were really emotional, i  won't go into detail a s it personal but they were lovely then they had these opera singer's, there were 3 and they were battling out as to who was best! It was really funny, i'm not doing it justice with that description but trust me they were!

Right Then we went over to the evening venue and Dan was presented with a gift from Jamie......wait for it....a white Bentley! Pretty decent gift me thinks! ha:) If you read OK mag you probably know some of this already.

Evening guests included Lydia Bright, Amy Childs, etc. I forgot to mention all day guests included Katie Price, Michelle Heaton, Lizzy Cundy etc. So then we partied the night away, i gave Dan a few more lip gloss touch ups and Katie's little girl Princess asked for some lip gloss too! Sooo cute! Then we moved from that venue at midnight to a proper late night one and then we boogied there for a bit and headed home! All round  FUN!!

I've made a tutorial of the make up so you can re create it for your own Wedding day!
